What is accessibility?
An accessible website is one that can be used by anyone. This can be from superman to people with partial sightedness/blindness and those that find it difficult to use a mouse. About 10% of internet users have visual or motor impairments, and so find it difficult to use websites that aren't designed with their needs in mind.
What does this mean?
Websites that aren't accessible close out a lot of the web to some people with disabilites, which not only limits their interaction with the web, but can potentially be losing you custom.
How can this be avoided?
My websites are designed to the Web Accessibility Initiative's (WAI) guidelines to make them accessible to as much of the population as possible. You can read more on the guidelines for accessibility here.
